So with so many non-profits launching every year that are focused on solving major concerns in our world, the question we have is ---

Why are we not moving fast enough to solve societal issues?

This is the question that Harvard Strategy Professor Michael Porter asks in his powerful TED Talk. He starts off the talk by examining potential causes for the slow progression taking place today. He even notes for-profit businesses as a potential cause --

“Business is not seen as the solution. It’s seen as the problem now, for most people. And rightly so, in many cases.”

But what if for-profit businesses were actually the solution? What if making a profit and making substantial impact were not mutually exclusive?

Check out the Ted Talk by Professor Michael Porter to learn more about how he sees businesses and non-profits/NGOs coming together to make the world a better place.
